We’re Metalheads…

And not just the music!

In the information age, consumers are very meticulous about what they’re putting in their bodies. As a premier supplement contract manufacturer, our foremost responsibility is to test for the quality and purity of the ingredients that make up our products.

One important material content we test for is heavy metals. Metals are in many foods and consumable products, and the amount depends on both agricultural and manufacturing processes. Of course, some metals are dietarily beneficial, such as iron. The U.S. FDA holds all consumable products to a certain standard of beneficial metals as well as the limitation of harmful metals.

At InvaPharm, Inc. our analysis is painstakingly thorough, ensuring we meet and exceed the FDA’s expectations. We use an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP/MS) unit capable of identifying and quantitating trace amounts of heavy metals. Common heavy metal contaminants include arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury.
