As the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed over the past year and a half, several different dietary supplements have had their time in the spotlight as potential avenues for protecting your body against the virus as well as generally helping to make sure your body is as healthy as can be. Several of these, such as Vitamin D, have been well-covered in the media – including our previous conversations here on the blog – for their effectiveness.
As time has gone on, more and more research has pointed to Vitamin K2 as being an equally potent and versatile addition to your nutritional regimen, including very recent studies regarding cardiovascular and immune health.
For example, in a recent Dutch-German study, researchers found that Vitamin K2 reduces vascular calcification (hardening as a result of calcium buildup) in the arteries, thereby reducing the stress on blood flow, particularly in the cases of smokers. Due to the long-term effects of smoking being relatively similar to the noted longer-duration symptoms of COVID-19, including lung damage, it’s quite possible that Vitamin K2 could have a similar benefit to the heart in the wake of COVID recovery or prevention.
At InvaPharm, Inc., we produce a wide variety of Vitamin K2-based supplements and continue to pride ourselves in delivering the best quality to our clients’ consumers. Our commitment to meeting the utmost quality standard is analogous to your commitment to your health and well-being.
